Sara Copley Showjumping Coach
Partnership - Performance - Welfare

I am a BSCC Level 3 Coach, currently studying for my Level 4 Certificate (PgDip) and Centre10 Advanced (Mindset) Coach with 25 years equine experience, including show jumping to 1.40m, both nationally and internationally (including being part of the British Showjumping Step up to Gold Programme) breeding, backing and producing own horses.

I am an advocate for both a horse-centred and rider-centered approach, to ensure that equine and rider wellbeing are prioritised.

My own experiences have led me to gain a valuable understanding of equine behaviour, veterinary issues, injury prevention and early recognition of soundness issues.

My Centre
10 Advanced Mindset training means that I understand the psychology of rider and how this is is intertwined with them achieving their goals.

About Sara

My Core Values

Partnership

I have an empathetic and patient approach, always taking time to listen to horse and rider.  Whether you want to compete or simply enjoy your horse, I place value on the importance of the partnership between you and your horse in achieving your goals, helping you to create a strong relationship with your horse through improved communication and trust.

Performance

I view performance as you achieving your goals, whether that be competitive in nature or not.  Goal setting is an essential component when working with both competitive and non-competitive riders, as it allows us to measure progress. In order to achieve this I place focus on strong foundations, both from the ground and in the saddle.  I believe these strong foundations are essential to achieving your goals in harmony  with your horse.

Welfare

I have a horse-centered and rider-centered approach to my coaching.  I believe that the horse's comfort and riders physical and mental wellbeing are essential in achieving your goals.

I have found that when riders hit "blocks" in their progress or their results/performance suddenly decline there can be a variety of reasons.  Understanding these reasons is essential in achieving your goals.

Attending veterinary appointments

I understand the varied emotions involved in a visit to the vet and how hard it can be to take in all the information provided.

I have experience attending vets appointments so I can provide support by helping you understand the process, diagnosis, and any treatment plan and asking relevant questions.
